About Us

Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by our website! Our names are Eric & Megan and we are in our mid-twenties. We met in high school and have been together ever since. We both attended the University of Connecticut and after graduation we started working on building our lives together. We have been happily married since 2012. Our farm was started by Megan's Great Uncle, Edward Linn. It was his dream since childhood to have a farm, and he started the Red Cedar Goat Dairy in the 1960's. He raised toggenburgs & nubians, lots of chickens, muscovy ducks, kept bees, and grew & sold veggies. Ed passed away in October 2011 and his family inherited his farm. He was always so hopeful that we would continue what he started, and we are so happy to be able to!

We are passionate about growing our own food organically, free of GMO's. We try to avoid as much processed foods as possible and are working on becoming increasingly self reliant. We have so many goals for the future of our farm! The past few years we have been working on repairing and improving on what we already have. We had to first renovate the house so we could move in, and then we started working outside! On the list for this year is repairing part of the barn roof & redoing the inside, as well as finishing the insides of our last two chicken coops.

We have an amazing dog who adores every living creature he meets. His name is Westerly, and we adopted him through Double Dog Rescue.  And it wouldn't be fair to not mention our beautiful Maine Coon mix cat, Dollie.

Here are some photos of our Uncle Ed! To read more about him and his story, visit the Farm History page!
